Pelatihan Ecoprint Pada Totebag Sebagai Edukasi Lingkungan Dan Pengembangan Kreativitas Siswa SMA El Shadai Magelang

Abstract

Ecoprint training on tote bag s was conducted at SMA El Shadai Magelang through the Eco Art Journey program as a practice-based educational activity that introduced the use of natural materials while providing students with a creative learning experience. The activity involved 30 students and was conducted in two stages: a socialization session on the basic concepts and techniques of ecoprint on August 10, 2026, followed by hands-on practice of making ecoprint tote bag s using the pounding technique on August 12, 2026. The activity was evaluated after the training using a questionnaire consisting of 10 statements with a four-point Likert scale: Strongly Agree, Agree, Fairly Agree, and Disagree. Positive responses were defined as the combination of Strongly Agree and Agree responses. The data were analyzed using mean scores and the percentage of positive responses for each indicator. The results showed an overall mean score of 3.07 out of 4 and an average positive response of 73.7%. The highest positive responses were found in the indicators related to participants’ enjoyment of the activity and the activity being fun and enjoyable, both at 83.3%. MeanwhHile, the lowest positive response was found in participants’ interest in further developing ecoprint, at 43.3%. These findings indicate that the activity received positive responses, particularly in terms of participants’ learning experience, basic understanding, awareness of natural-material utilization, and creativity. However, the relatively low interest in further development suggests the need for follow-up activities and mentoring if the program is to be developed sustainably.
